I have to quote an article because it says it all.....
Long Island Motorsports Association posted this on their new forums on 10-8-07. It was originally written in an article printed in Newsday.
Hats off to the composer!
The People That Support Motorsports!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is to all the people who sleep good at night knowing that the US ARMY and the NATIONAL GUARD are protecting your rights, wake up in the morning to a bowl of KELLOGGS or CHEERIOS before you jump into your CHEVY, FORD, DODGE, or TOYOTA's to drive to BEST BUY, OFFICE DEPOT, HOME DEPOT, LOWES, TARGET, or WAL-MART to purchase the things you so desire.
If you can't find what you are looking for at these stores you then go online and shop knowing that UPS and FED-EX will happily bring these items right to your door.
You then call your friends on your NEXTEL, CINGULAR, SPRINT or AT&T phones to meet you at BURGER KING, MCDONALDS, TACO BELL or DOMINO's for a quick bite to eat.
While at lunch you convince your friends to help you with a project around your house, so they all show up with their DEWALT, KOBALT, STANLEY, SNAP-ON, MAC or CRAFTSMAN tools and the work begins. After an hour or so you open up the cooler to offer your help a nice cold MILLER LITE, BUDWEISER, COORS or for the lazy guy a RED BULL. Maybe toss them a SNICKERS or a bag of M&M's to keep moral up.
So at the end of the day when the work is done, all I have to say to you is, each one of these companies along with a few hundred more are multi-million dollar sponsors of racing. So pull out your teeth, and burn rubber baby, because like it or not you are a big supporter of racing by association.
